File Format:

• Preferred: High-resolution PDF (Press Quality or PDF/X-1a)

• Accepted: TIFF, JPEG (300 DPI minimum), EPS, AI (Adobe Illustrator), PSD (Adobe Photoshop) with layers flattened

 

Resolution:

• 300 DPI (dots per inch) minimum for all images and graphics

• Avoid using low-resolution images (72 DPI, commonly used for web) as they will appear pixelated in print.

 

Color Mode:

• CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) for full-color printing

• If submitting a black & white ad, use grayscale mode

• Avoid RGB color mode, as it is for digital displays and may not print correctly.

 

Bleed & Safe Area:

• Bleed: Extend background colors or images 0.125 inches (1/8”) beyond the trim size if the design goes to the edge.

• Safe Area: Keep all critical text and graphics at least 0.25 inches (1/4”) inside the trim line to prevent cutting issues.
